Joel Torres of East Boston won the "$4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler" on Monday, March 11. The winner bought the $10 scratch-off ticket at  East Coast Variety at 67 Bennington St. in East Boston.

The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale.

Torres took the lump sum of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity. He said he doesn't have any immediate plans for the money.

The "$4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler" was released earlier this year. All four of the game's $4,000,000 winning tickets remain in circulation. Nine $1,000,000 winning tickets remain unclaimed.

The win was one of 677 winning tickets claimed on Monday worth $650 or more.
